Hippolyta, Queen of the Amazons, a group of all-women warriors, and Zeus, king of the gods, had one daughter, Princess Diana. Princess Diana was gifted extraordinary power by Zeus to fight evil. Like other Amazons, Diana was raised in safety on the island of Themyscira, where she was isolated from the rest of the world, the "Man's World." She trained in typical amazon fashion, becoming a capable and fierce warrior. As such, She is a skilled tactician and hunter.

Career Start
Shortly after Wonder Woman had come of age, WWI began. An American pilot and spy, Steve Trevor, crashes his plane into the waters of Themsyrica. Wonder Woman rescues him from his sinking vessel. She is curious, having never seen a man before, and her curiosity and eagerness to help others leads to hercoming with him when he returns to the rest of the world to help end the war. She joins him in this mission and it is then that she makes her debut as Wonder Woman.

Antiope: The Amazon Antiope is Wonder Women's much-loved aunt. Under her guidance, Wonder Woman became a skilled warrior.

Ares: Ares is the god of war. Depending on the story, he is either a friend and mentor, like Antiope, or an arch-nemesis.

Steve Trevor: Steve Trevor is a pilot and spy whom Wonder Woman rescues, befriends, and eventually falls in love with. He introduces her to "Man's World," and helps her navigate the chaos and conflict of the WWI.

The Justice League: The Justice League is a team evil-fighting superheroes, of which Wonder Woman is a memeber. Other members include Superman, Batman, Aquaman, Green Lantern, and the Flash.

Circe: Circe is an evil, centuries-old soceress. She attempts to kill Wonder Woman because of a prophecy predicting that Wonder Woman would kill her.
